Schedule&Work-plan

Task 1: Overall co-ordination and management.

This task is being carried out mainly by CETMAR.
The technical co-ordination is supported and reinforced with the constitution of what have been called ‘Experts Thematic Committees (ETC), made up of both people from organisations integrating the project consortium, and external experts. The responsibility of these committees is to decide which must be the principal contents of each thematic block of information of the site, and provide orientations and details about the main sources that should be considered to collect the information that should be accessible through the Fish-Tracenet Site.
Each Committee comprises a minimum of three members: one lead partner, one non-leader but directly involved partner and one external expert, which only participates as advisor. The lead organisation is responsible to collect the relevant information from the other members of the Committee, the other partners of the project, and those who are willing to contribute.
The thematic committees constituted are:

Task 2: Design and Implementation of the Web Site.

  • Sub-task 2.1: Web content definition, which was carried out during the first project meeting (Vigo, Spain. March 2004).
  • Sub-task 2.2: Interface design, that is, the way users will be able to access the resources available.
  • Sub-task 2.3: Programming and content-feeding. The responsibility for this task is being shared amongst the coordinator, by programming and developing databases and tools, ETC leaders by feeding the database and the partners, by providing the information.
  • Sub-task 2.4: Validation of the site by end-users and adaptation to new demands. The external experts are being consulted in different interim stages of the project to ask for their advice on the website contents and structure. Besides, they will contribute in dissemination activities.

Task 3: Awareness and dissemination activities.
Activities such as workshops and presentations will be held in each region for disseminating interim and final results and calling for collaboration.
Each event organized will be conveniently announced in this site, in section ‘EVENTS’, as well as through any other means available (press releases, other webs related, leaflets, mail, etc.).
